JOB DETAILS:
Job purpose:
Own and drive a robust cost-efficient route-to-market system that ensures continued product availability and visibility at all consumer touch points, at the right price, right quantity, right quality and with the right partners in well designated region(s)/territory(ies) in order to maximize company share of volume and value.

Main responsibilities:
• Grow Product sales in line with the company’s strategy while cross selling and ensuring the company brand is adequately represented within their territory.
• Continuously grow the number of customers for each segment to increase the company market share across its range of products.
• Follow the companies pricing structure across individual products to ensure sales made within territory return desired company margins.
• Ensure proper management of company assets & products to avoid loss, damage.
• Carry out regular account management functions to ensure smooth running of own accounts such as account reconciliations, invoice and statement delivery, debt management and others.
• Carry out customer visits in line with the territory customer visit plan so as to maintain and grow the customer relationship.
• Generate develop and share various business reports as requested by the Head of Lubes Sales as a measure of tracking performance on desired business and company goals.
• Lead, manage, mentor and coach the team of Direct sales staff within your territory so as to enable them to derive and attain their independent targets in line with the company goals and objectives
• Ensure HSSEQ standards are enforced and maintained at all customer sites and all partners in the territory in liason with the HSSEQ Officer.
• Roll out a sales and distribution strategy in agreement with Head of Lubes Sales to ensure the assigned territory is well serviced and that consumers find products at all time and where they want
• Ensure that objectives in terms of availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality and customer price of products and services are always achieved
• Ensure Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly Achievement of distribution, sales targets for multiple company product categories for the defined territory.
• Actively contribute to corporate and brand advocacy through impactful programs in the trade for more sales to more people in more places.
• Oversee roll out of value adding motivation and training initiatives in the territory to ensure own and dealer teams are motivated to perform to their best
• Ensure strict work discipline for the sales team, own and dealer`s, to ensure growth of sales.
• Represent company in relevant events as may be assigned by Managing Director or Head of Lubes Sales
• Execute any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager from time to time.

• Being proactive and innovative, you are expected to be highly reliable, to search for excellence, to respect good governance and HSSEQ principles across the company and consider the company’s reputation at all times in particular respecting the company Code of Conduct. You are responsible for your personal results, and do not hesitate to display a proactive and creative attitude with a particular commitment to teamwork.

Key working relations: Internal:
• Management Team: Sales performance, reporting & marketing activities
• Finance team: Sales reporting, dealer/sales team commissions, debt management
• Supply Chain: Product supply and demand planning

Operations : HSSEQ Standards
External :
• Marketing Agencies: Product promotions and advertising
• Customers: Product Sales, Sales collections, Portfolio Volume Growth, New to Business Customers & marketing activities

Experience & education required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, Sales and Marketing or related discipline.
• Min. of 3 years FMCG sales experience preferably in oil & gas

Other Requirements/skills/competencies:
• Credit Management Process
• Sales team management
• Sales forecast and demand planning
• Trade marketing and trade program execution
• Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills
