Call for Expressions of Interest –WeWork-SME growth track tender at Enabel

Enabel, with funding from the European Union and the Kingdom of Belgium, is implementing the WeWork – green and decent jobs for youth project (2023-2028). As part of this initiative, 35 high-potential SMEs will be selected to receive specialized, hands-on business support aimed at accelerating growth, improving operations, and enhancing job creation.

Key areas of support

Selected SMEs will benefit from expert-driven technical assistance in the following areas:

  • Governance & Compliance – Strengthening business structures and regulatory adherence
  • Human Resource Management – Enhancing staff development and team efficiency
  • Financial Management & Planning – Improving financial strategies and sustainability
  • Investment Readiness – Preparing businesses for funding and expansion opportunities
  • Business Strategy & Market Development – Scaling sales, expanding distribution, and accessing new markets
  • Operational Efficiency & Technology Integration – Streamlining processes and adopting smart business solutions

Eligibility criteria

This opportunity is open to SMEs that meet the following criteria:

  • Legally registered with URSB (business, social enterprise, or cooperative)
  • Operational for at least two years
  • Annual turnover of UGX 80 million or more Structured management in place
  • Commitment to business growth and job creation

Target regions & priority sectors

SMEs must operate in one of the following regions:
Albertine & Rwenzori, Busoga, Kampala Metropolitan, West Nile + Kiryandongo.
Priority will be given to businesses in agribusiness (apiary, poultry, piggery, coffee, cassava, aquaculture), renewable energy, green construction, sustainable tourism, and forestry.
