Your role
Zembo sells electric motorcycle taxis, offers a battery swap service and operates recharge stations. Your role is to design, build and implement all the automations we need to operate: this includes battery charging, battery swap automated cabinet, power source management, … This roles involves both hardware (controllers, devices, IOT, …) and software to control these systems on the field. Your objective is to enable Zembo to develop from a start-up managing hundreds of bikes and 30 stations to a recognized company operating thousands of motorcycles and hundreds of stations.
As the automation engineer, you’ll have the responsibility and autonomy to design and develop this system, leading the automation team and deciding which technologies we’ll use.

Requirements
Your profile
• Experience as automation engineer role for significant automation projects involving both hardware and software (5+ years)
• Experience in low level programming in C or Assembly
• Education: master's level preferred
• Entrepreneurial and problem solver spirit
• Willing to stand behind and be part of a teal organization
• Time and location: full-time, based in Kampala but remote work possible during some periods of the year, starting as soon as you can
