Grade: P3
Division: Logistics and Infrastructure
Duty Station: Lusaka, Zambia
Basic Salary Scale: COM$ 55,861.08 – COM$ 68,658.91 per annum
Reports to: Director of Infrastructure and Logistics
Number of Posts: 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct energy sector economic analysis to support COMESA’s policies and programs.
  • Provide policy recommendations on energy development, investment, and trade.
  • Assess the impact of regional and international energy markets on COMESA member states.
  • Develop and implement strategies for renewable energy adoption and energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with international partners to promote energy infrastructure development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in Economics, Energy Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in energy economics, policy development, or project management.
  • Strong analytical skills in energy markets, pricing, and trade.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy, climate change policies, and sustainable development.
