• Job Summary:
  The Principal Commercial Officer will oversee and manage the district’s commercial and business development activities. The officer will facilitate trade, industry, and economic development initiatives aimed at enhancing local economic growth, ensuring compliance with national policies, and contributing to sustainable economic development.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the implementation of commercial policies and guidelines at the district level.
  • Facilitate business development and trade promotion programs.
  • Advise on the establishment of local economic development projects.
  • Collaborate with both private and public stakeholders to promote trade and industrial activities.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for trade and industry development projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate trade programs to ensure they meet the district's economic objectives.

• Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in the Service of Kole District Local Government. Applications to be submitted in triplicate on PSC form 3 (Revised 2008) to the Secretary, Kole District Service Commission, P.O Box 419, Lira, Uganda not later than May 2nd 2025.

• Application forms can be obtained from Public Service Commission Office 2nd Floor, Farmers House, Parliament Avenue, Kampala and/or other District Service Commission offices or Chief Administrative Officer’s offices Country Wide. Applications should be filled in Triplicate with 3 current colored passport size photographs of the applicant.

• Serving officers MUST route their applications through their Heads of Departments/ Institutions who should be informed of the closing date. Applicants should attach a copy of their National Identity Card and certified copies of their academic transcripts and Certificates.
