Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that all mining activities adhere to environmental laws and regulations. The Senior Environment Officer will lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of environmental management programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Audits
• Monitor environmental performance of operations
• Advise management on sustainability practices
• Engage with regulatory bodies and communities on environmental matters

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in environmental management
• Experience in the mining sector is an added advantage

Competencies and Skills:

• Knowledge of environmental legislation and standards
• Strong reporting and analytical skills
• Good stakeholder engagement skills

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: bachelor degree
