About Karaa
Karaa is accelerating Africa’s transition to clean, affordable, and efficient transport. We design and assemble rugged electric bicycles and conversion kits that empower small businesses, farmers, and delivery riders to move goods and people more efficiently. Our bikes are built for tough terrain and off-grid environments, simple to maintain, solar compatible, and reliable on any journey.
With over 620 million people lacking access to modern energy and transport solutions, Karaa is filling the gap through innovative partnerships, financing models, and community-driven deployment. We’ve supported refugee settlements, dairy cooperatives, and informal retailers across East Africa.
Our mission is clear: unlock economic opportunity through sustainable mobility and empower communities through energy-enabled movement.
