Feed the Future Uganda Strategic Investments Activity (SIA)
Request for Applications (RFA) No. 002
Chemonics International is seeking concept papers for implementation of the uptake of productive use of energy (PUE) among businesses (co-operatives, processors, PUE providers, utilities, PUE vendors and suppliers, financial institutions, and health facilities) and their end-users under The Feed the Future Uganda Strategic Investments Activity (SIA). The grants will be awarded and implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing grants under contracts and SIA's internal grant management policies.
The project will hold a pre-application workshop on February 20, 2024, at SIA offices (Plot 3-5 New Port Bell Road, UAP-Nakawa Business Park, Block C, 5th Floor, Kampala, Uganda) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This workshop will allow eligible and interested applicants the chance to ask questions about the RFA and receive guidance on how to complete the concept paper template.
Interested applicants who meet the eligibility requirements defined in Section IIIA below and would like to attend this workshop must confirm their attendance by sending the participant's name and the organization's name to Ug-Sia-Grants@chemonics.com. by February 13, 2024. Only one person may attend from each organization. When confirming attendance, please note if the person has any special needs to access the workshop facilities. No reimbursement for costs of attendance will be met.
Application Submission due date: March 07, 2024
SIA and Chemonics employees may not ask for, and applicants are prohibited from offering, any money, fee, commission, credit, gift, gratuity, thing of value, or compensation to obtain or reward improper favorable treatment regarding this solicitation. Any improper request from a project employee should be reported to the SIA Chief Executive Officer or BusinessConduct@chemonics.com.
