Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting competitive bids and proposals for IT-related projects. The role requires expertise in market research, proposal writing, and bid strategy to secure new business opportunities in corporate markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid Management & Proposal Writing
• Identify and analyze tender opportunities, RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFQs (Request for Quotations), and EOls (Expression of Interest) related to IT solutions and services.
• Prepare, write, and submit high-quality technical and financial proposals in response to bid requests.
• Ensure compliance with bid requirements, including technical specifications, pricing, and legal documentation.
• Maintain a structured bid library for reusing content in future proposals.
Market Research & Opportunity Identification
• Conduct research to identify potential bidding opportunities from government agencies, private corporations, and international organizations.
• Monitor tender platforms, procurement websites, and market trends to stay ahead of competition.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential bids in alignment with the company’s IT service offerings.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
• Liaise with internal teams (technical, finance, legal) to gather relevant information for proposal development.
• Collaborate with IT specialists to ensure the bid proposal aligns with company capabilities and industry standards.
• Establish and maintain relationships with procurement officers, tender issuers, and relevant stakeholders.
Compliance & Documentation Management
• Ensure that all bid submissions meet the regulatory and compliance requirements of the client and industry.
• Maintain accurate records of past bids, outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Handle documentation, certifications, and due diligence required for bid qualification.
Negotiation & Contract Finalization
• Support negotiations and discussions related to contract terms and pricing with clients.
• Work with legal and finance teams to review contract clauses and ensure risk mitigation.
• Ensure a smooth transition from bid acceptance to project execution.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years in bid management, proposal writing, or business development, preferably in the IT sector.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to understand technical IT solutions and translate them into business proposals.
• Proficiency in MS Office, proposal management software, and online bidding platforms.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and compliance standards.
• Added Advantage: Experience with government and corporate tenders, knowledge of e-procurement systems, and familiarity with project management frameworks.
