Role Summary
The Relationship Officer - Micro reports to the Relationship Manager and is responsible for recruiting clients, verifying sources of income, and visiting prospective clients’ homes and businesses to assess creditworthiness. The officer will play a key role in growing and retaining client relationships while contributing to the bank’s asset and liability targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, nurture, and sustain new Micro relationships with potential for growth and superior returns, contributing to assets and liabilities growth as per set targets.
  • Actively manage the pipeline to meet agreed personal growth objectives across all product ranges and client segments.
  • Manage the client portfolio to grow and retain existing business, reviewing client wallets to optimize the Bank’s revenue through selling/promoting appropriate product bundles.
  • Negotiate and structure transactions during prospective and closing stages, balancing client value with the Bank’s business interests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare high-quality credit proposals efficiently, ensuring turn-around time aligns with the Bank’s objectives.
  • Manage arrears vigilantly per the Bank’s policies to maintain the loan portfolio’s NPA percentage within agreed parameters, spotting early attention areas.

Minimum Academic Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Development Economics, Economics, Development Studies, Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Financial Services and Business Computing, International Business, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Social Science, SWASA, Education, Microfinance, Adult and Community Education, Community Psychology, Procurement & Chain Supply Management, Procurement & Logistics Management, Human Resource Management, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Project Planning and Management, Entrepreneurship and Project Planning, Public Administration and Management, Sales and Marketing Management, B. Agriculture & Rural Innovations, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Extension, Engineering, or any other relevant/related field.
  • 2 Principal passes at A’ Level.
  • Credit and/or Pass in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.

  • No prior experience required (0 years).

  • Willingness to work in any part of the country where Pride operates.
  • Readiness to continuously deliver exceptional performance and challenge oneself.
  • Computer literate, highly motivated, innovative, and a self-starter.
  • Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle.
  • Must not be more than 40 years of age.
