Academic Qualifications and Experience
● The candidate should have a Diploma in Animal Husbandry from a recognized
Institution.
● S/he should have a Certificate in Artificial insemination and able to practically
inseminate all cows to conceive.
● S/he should be able to treat and maintain all livestock in a healthy and good
productive state.
● S/he should be able to manage the poultry unit and do all its practices.
● S/he should be to undertake breeding and selection activities plus their records.
● S/he should be enthusiastic, self – motivated and able to do all the farm work plus
leading the livestock casual workers as a team and any other administrative work.
Key responsibilities:
● Daily Monitoring: Ensuring the health and well-being of all livestock through
regular checks and observation.
● Feeding and Nutrition: Planning and executing feeding schedules, ensuring proper
nutrition for each type of animal.
● Housing and Shelter: Maintaining clean and suitable housing conditions for
different livestock species.
● Breeding and Reproduction: Overseeing breeding programs and managing
reproduction cycles.
● Healthcare and Vaccinations: Administering medications, vaccinations, and
treatments as needed, and recognizing signs of illness.
● Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of births, deaths, vaccinations, and
any other important data.
● Handling and Transporting of Animals: Safely handling livestock during
transport and other necessary activities.
● Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing supplies such as feeds,
medications, and equipment.
● Team Coordination: Assisting in supervising farm workers and coordinating all
tasks related to livestock care.
● Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulations related to animal welfare,
health, and safety.
