Job Summary:
The Facilities Assistant III (Plumbing Systems) is responsible installing, inspecting, and repairing pipes and plumbing systems to make sure all building services and fixtures operate correctly. This includes finding the source of leaks and blockages, fixing, or replacing broken parts and testing the plumbing system.

Direct Reports: Facilities Assistant II

Key Functions:
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess and/or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
• Carry out regular maintenance and repair of existing plumbing systems and carry out installation of new plumbing systems.
• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems, fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systems for safety, functionality, and compliance to standards and regulations.
• Diagnosing faults for plumbing systems, cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Monitors systems, carry out chemical tests, and keep records of the biological and industrial wastewater treatment plant.
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health, safety, and environment.
• Lead, mentor, develop, coach, train and appraise subordinates and peers to help them be successful in their roles and to progress in their skills and abilities.
• Develop and implement Monthly Work Plans necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities and Performance Reports detailing all Plumbing aspects within the company.
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Academic Qualifications
• Ordinary/National Diploma in Water Engineering or Civil Engineering with at least Credit Class or Equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Craft /Advanced/National Certificate in Plumbing, UVQF Level II/Trade Certificate in Plumbing or related field.

Minimum Experience
The applicant should have General Working Experience of at least Three (3) years. The applicant should have served as a Plumber in a reputable organization for at least Two (2) years.
