We are a cleantech company developing electric appliances that reduce carbon emissions while delivering income and health benefits to our customers in Low and Middle Income countries. Our products are designed to tap into dual revenue streams: small incremental payments from our customers, and payments for emissions reductions from global ER buyers. As a product design-oriented company with a deep understanding of how to grow markets by leveraging carbon finance, we seek to become the leading provider of emissions-reducing products and technology to consumers in Low and Middle Income Countries. Our first product is a line of pay-as-you-go electric pressure cooker products designed specifically for sub-Saharan African markets.

About PowerUP:
The Full Stack Developer will play a crucial role in developing and supporting the software side of PowerUP's technology stack. This includes the PowerUP app, web application, manufacturing / aftersales scripts, and other supporting tools. Their work will connect our hardware solutions to our AWS cloud and reporting tools for diagnosis and analysis.. This role also involves supporting and enhancing other software applications, writing scripts, and developing web solutions as needed. The developer should be versatile, able to work across mobile, desktop, and web platforms, and ready to contribute to both front-end and back-end tasks.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Android Application Development:
• Maintain, improve, and add new features to the Ionic/Angular-based Android application for data extraction from electric cooking appliances.
• Implement data encryption and ensure secure, reliable data synchronization with AWS cloud services.
2. Front & Back-End and Scripting on AWS:
• Assist on developing and maintaining scripts for automating tasks and integrating systems, particularly with AWS services.
• Develop small-scale websites or web interfaces as needed, ensuring functionality and responsiveness.
3. Windows Application Maintenance:
• Maintain and develop Windows-based applications in C# used for tooling processes, configuration, and quality control.
4. Cross-Platform Collaboration:
• Work across different software layers to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to address software issues, enhance features, and support cross-functional development initiatives.

Required competencies:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack software development across mobile, desktop, and web platforms.
• Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Proficiency in Ionic/Angular for mobile development, C#/WPF for Windows applications, and back-end scripting (e.g., Node.js, Python).
• Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue).
• Familiarity with data encryption and secure data transfer practices.
• Ability to create front-end web interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
