For this position we are looking for candidates that are based in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Zambia, or Uganda

The Job

As HR Business Partner at Tiko, you support the organisation in a broad area together with your colleague HRBPs. You make sure the day to day HR work functions smoothly and in addition, you will have a specific focus on a number of areas regarding Learning and Development. You are in charge of the practical implementation of our learning and development activities. In practice this means that you help design training, execute where needed, organize sessions and attendance. You will also make sure our new employees have a positive onboarding experience by accompanying them through their first months at Tiko and ensuring they get the information and training they need to be able to perform.

Responsibilities: 

  • Employee and manager support: you support and guide your designated teams when they have questions or concerns.
  • Onboarding: you execute and improve an onboarding program that sets our new employees up for success when they start at Tiko.
  • Training and learning: you build and maintain courses on our LMS system and design and execute training programmes for (parts of) the organisation ensuring all your designated teams have valid contracts, are registered for benefits etc. You make sure our admin is up to date and correct
  • Individual development: you monitor and improve the usage of individual development budgets and development plans across the organisation
  • HR admin and benefits: you ensure HR admin for your designated teams is done on time and correctly, as well as ensuring the benefits in your designated markets are of high quality and administered properly
  • HR analytics: track how the organisation is performing and suggest improvements based on this information
  • Policy and project management: you assist in designated projects within your area. Projects can be very broad, from policy review to setting up leadership development programmes

You are hands on and a practical problem solver. You can connect to people from different backgrounds. You can communicate your thoughts clearly in writing and can pay attention to detail. You are data driven and tech-savvy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role with a focus on Learning and Development
  • Proven experience in building, planning, and implementing learning programmes for international organizations
  • Experience planning, evaluating, and conducting onboarding training activities

The Rewards

The gross monthly salary brackets for this position, excluding benefits, is €1,851 - €2,776 in Ethiopia, R46,499 - R69,748 in South Africa, CFA871,292 - CFA1,306,938 in Burkina Faso, ZMW42,860-ZMW64,289 in Zambia, and UGX6,617,432 - UGX9,926,148 in Uganda. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
