JOB DETAILS:
Primary Functions:
Carry out certification and verification of marine installations as per agreed scheme and in accordance with specified requirements
Responsibilities:
• Participate in drafting Verification & Certification Activity Reports (VCARS) specifically for mechanical systems and components, documenting compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
• Perform site surveillance to certify and verify the quality control of mechanical-related works, including the installation and testing of equipment such as pumps, compressors, and pipelines.
• Lead audit activities, including conducting opening and closing meetings with the Quality Control (QC) manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate audit findings related and conduct follow-up activities to ensure effective resolution of identified issues.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports after each site visit.
• Review documents such as test reports and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to verify compliance with specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and work method statements.
• Witness the receipt and verification of mechanical materials and equipment in the fabrication shop yard or installation site, ensuring they meet the project's specifications and quality standards.
Qualification:
• Degree qualified in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or Certificate of Competency 1,
• At least 10 years relevant working experience as Ship Project Manager (repair or new construction)/ Technical Superintendent/ Marine surveyor or equivalent; or seafaring experience as foreign going engineer.
• At least 3 similar experiences working in a similar international project
• Knowledge of the Certification scheme
• Minimum ASNT II certificate or equivalent (Will be a plus)
• Familiar with QA&QC for oil field site construction projects
• Have similar working experience in international projects.
• Fully conversant with relevant inspection techniques and able to select most appropriate technique.
• Good knowledge of international code, standard and regulation, such as AWS D1.1, ASME, API, etc.
• Good health is required
• Good at using CAD.
• Good at using Microsoft-office software and project tools.
