Role Summary:

Our client, a reputable educational institution with over 20 years of dedicated service, seeks to recruit a competent and experienced Head of Science Department for the Primary Section. The Head will lead the science department, ensuring high-quality teaching, curriculum implementation, and learner achievement in science subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the Science Department in the Primary Section.
  • Ensure effective curriculum implementation and teaching standards.
  • Monitor learner performance and implement improvement strategies.
  • Mentor and supervise science teachers.
  • Coordinate science-related activities, projects, and events.
  • Prepare departmental reports and documentation.
  • Support the development of teaching materials and resources.
  • Promote a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments and school leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education (Science) or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' relevant teaching/leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary school science curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and professional skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Passion for teaching and student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
