Job Description

The job holder will be responsible for making sure all sales targets for cash & PAYGO d.light products, revenues & collections are met within the designated sales area or territory.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create awareness in their designated geographies and do direct selling for our retails outlets.
  • Recruit and manage quality Sales & Engagement Partners as per the given targets
  • Find new customers and constantly expand the business
  • Manage the regional outlet sales agents and ensure sales targets are achieved by pushing stock out to assigned outlets
  • Monitor sales data and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs which includes customer queries and complaints
  • Ensure availability of stock in all outlets across range.
  • Focus on activating new channels – Experience Centers, Phone shops and Retail Distributors
  • Ensure that distributor agents and retail outlets focus on d.light products.
  • Relationship building between d.light and clients.
  • Identify and monitor all competitive activities within the territory.
  • Implementing the d-light Route to Market.
  • Ensure quality customers are on boarded and delinquency is maintained below 20%
  • Review and assess new customers on-boarded within their area of jurisdiction for quality of payments to ensure the portfolio health is within the defined threshold
  • Evaluate and study high-risk account and analyze all customer payment patterns within their area of jurisdiction to drive compliance as per defined risk & Quality of Sales processes by take the necessary remedial actions to cause-correct customers behind their payment schedules
  • Ensure stock / Inventory management is done with in the acceptable and laid down procedures and expectations at each and every stock location under their jurisdiction
  • supervise the stocking and safety of dlight stock with the SEPs to ensure desired approved minimum stock levels at all times
  • Follow up on outstanding payments from customers and ensure timely settlement.
  • Ensure the assigned tools of trade are well maintained and used to perform company work. Also refer to the fleet policy for the proper use of the assigned company car/motorcycle (if any)

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years sales experience with demonstrable and successful sales track record
  • A degree/ diploma/ certificate in a business related field
  • Relevant industry background in a related industry will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working in a rapid sales growth environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to quickly build rapport with customers and people at all levels.
  • A valid Ugandan riding license.
  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding expectations and able to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel and outlook.
  • Passion for social enterprise, development of people and environmental benefits
