Job Summary:

Our client, a leading social enterprise dedicated to transforming Uganda's cocoa industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Manager to oversee field operations in Mayuge. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable cocoa production, engaging farming communities, and managing high-performing field teams to create lasting social and economic impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all field operations in the Mayuge region.
  • Oversee farmer engagement, training, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Support sustainable cocoa production practices and productivity improvements.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing field team.
  • Monitor field activities, track performance metrics, and prepare reports.
  • Build strong relationships with farming communities, cooperatives, and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align field activities with organizational goals.
  • Identify challenges and implement effective solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in field operations, agricultural management, or community development.
  • Proven experience managing teams and working with farming communities.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture and cocoa production practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in remote, rural settings and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data collection tools.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (Lusoga, Luganda, or related) is an added advantage.
