A leading provider of power solutions in Uganda is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Person to join our team, responsible for promoting and selling construction equipment to customers in various industries. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the equipment market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets
Knowledge, skills and competences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of the equipment market and industry trends
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue goals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet to deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in work requirements or schedules.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction equipment market
- Meet and exceed sales targets, while maintaining a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Negotiate sales contracts and agreements
- Manage and maintain key accounts and business partners, ensuring excellent customer service and building long-term relationships.
- Order equipment and manage inventory, whilst ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers.
- In collaboration with the Credit controller the incumbent shall assist in Collecting payments and to manage debtors where the need arises.
- Train clients on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Register all sold equipment into our CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
- Coordinate service and repairs, and provide after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Ensure warranty procedures are followed and implemented, minimizing potential disputes and issues.
Qualifications
- A Degree from a recognized university in Mechanical, Electrical, automotive engineering, Agricultural or related field.

- 2 -3 years of sales experience in a related industry (construction or industrial equipment)
