About MakSPH: Makerere University School of Public Health is at the forefront of public health research and initiatives in Uganda. The Stigma and Discrimination Initiative aims to create an inclusive environment for PLHIV and other key populations, enabling them to access essential healthcare services without prejudice.

Job Summary:
The Activity Coordinator will manage the adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of the stigma and discrimination toolkit designed to address barriers faced by PLHIV and key populations. This role is instrumental in ensuring the toolkit's effectiveness and relevance in the current Ugandan context.

Key Responsibilities:
• Toolkit Review & Adaptation: Collaborate with experts to review and adapt the current toolkit, ensuring its alignment with the challenges presented by recent legislative changes and other relevant factors.
• Capacity Building: Organize and lead training sessions for healthcare providers and KP-CSOs on the effective use of the adapted toolkit.
• Pilot Implementation: Oversee the pilot implementation of the toolkit in selected healthcare facilities and organizations.
• Evaluation & Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback from the pilot phase, making necessary revisions to the toolkit.
• Toolkit Roll-Out: Coordinate the broader implementation of the revised toolkit across targeted regions, ensuring widespread adoption and usage.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Continuously track the toolkit's impact on reducing stigma and discrimination, generating regular reports and making adjustments as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Public Health.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Gender Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working on stigma reduction, discrimination, or related projects.
• Familiarity with the HIV/AIDS landscape in Uganda and the unique challenges faced by key populations.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in the rollout of similar toolkits or programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the recent legislative and sociopolitical developments in Uganda, particularly concerning PLHIV and key populations.
• Experience working with health service providers and community-based organizations.
• Strong facilitation and training skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
