JOB DETAILS:
The Danish Embassy (RDE) seeks to recruit a MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) Adviser to support our work on Accountability, Civic Engagement and Rights.

If you have experience in establishing and overseeing a functional M&E system for larger development programmes, especially focusing on projects relating to Accountability, Civic Engagement and Rights, we would like to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and reporting
• Develop the overall framework for programme M&E systems in collaboration with programme staff, including requirements, reporting tools, baseline, and evaluation surveys;
• Develop and monitor programme management plan to systematically document performance
• Provide technical advice and support to implementing partners on monitoring and reporting requirements so that they are equipped to contribute effectively.
• Quality assure reporting from partners and internal reporting.

Analysis and Learning
• Aggregate and analyse data from all projects to contribute to management reporting
• Carry out political economy analysis and risk analysis as needed to inform management decision-making.
• Support civil society and institutional partners on cross cutting learning and experience sharing.

Communication and Information
• Oversee the setting up of an information handling system for the work on Accountability, Civic Engagement and Rights with technical consultants.
• Support the Royal Danish Embassy in gathering and communicating results of development partnerships to public, other development partners and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Qualification & Experience
• Master’s degree in political science, social science, development studies, business, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position, working for a donor or in a medium to large-sized donor-funded organisation.
• Proven experience in working in the area of accountability, civic engagement and human rights.
• Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems from programme initiation to close out.
• Experience in Management Information Systems.

• Ability to work independently and to proactively follow up.
