REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALBERT TRACK IN MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK (MFNP)

TotalEnergies EP Uganda (Company) in its capacity as Operator of Contract Area (CA) 1 and License Area (LA) 2 North, in conjunction with its Joint Venture partners, invites experienced and qualified companies to express interest in design and construction of tourism tracks in Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP).
Description of the scope of works
The Company requires an experienced contractor to design and construct the Albert Track the Albert Track (15.3km) in MFNP to facilitate the the co-existence of tourism and the Tilenga project activities in MFNP.
The works to be provided under the Contract will include the repair of sections along the Albert track and refurbishment of the Kituna bridge. This will include, (but not limited to):
• Worksite survey, topographic and geological survey
• Construction activities including worksite clearance and re-instatement, where required
• Provision of detailed engineering, procurement and construction deliverables including but not limited to plans, layouts, specifications, data sheets, calculations, bill of quantities, software models, etc
• Development of the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) (including execution planning)
• These construction activities are supported by other activities which are an integral part of the scope of work, such as: permitting management, community liaison, National Park working, project control, documentation, and administration, field engineering: procurement activities and supply of materials
The selected contractor will be able to demonstrate the following abilities.
• Road Design, earthworks and engineering surveys.
• Construction material sourcing and procurement
• including environmental management of borrow pits ) Logistics management in both environmentally sensitive remote areas and near populated zones.
• Concrete technology.
Minimum requirements
• At least ten years' experience providing civil engineering in road works, concrete structures and large-scale earthworks within Uganda and the East African region.
• Preference will be given to bidders with at least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Fully certified, registered, and experienced personnel in the required civil engineering, hydraulics and surveying specialisms, and their availability.
• Financial capacity to deliver the services required •Demonstrated commitment to statutory National Content requirements for oil and gas operations.
• Current registration to, or application to be registered to: the National Supplier Database for the year 2023

Following receipt of the EOI email request, the Company shall register the interested parties in its e sourcing platform ARIBA, to enable the interested parties submit their completed prequalification questionnaires on or before 24th October 2023 at 15:00 hrs. (GMT+3)
Key Note: ARIBAC will accept individual attachments and compressed folders (zip) not exceeding 150MB per document upload. Documents may be split up to meet this system requirement.
